The best business coaches for online fitness coaches (2026)
by zac perna · updated
I've spent over $140K on business mentors. Some of it was the best money I've ever spent. Some of it bought me a login to a course I opened twice. So I've been the customer here, a lot, before I ever ran one of these programs.
Full disclosure: I run one of the programs on this list (The Blueprint), and it's first because it's my blog. Read the rest anyway. Every program below is a real option, and some of them will suit you better than mine will. I've stuck to what each one publishes about itself and linked to it so you can check.
This list is for online fitness coaches and personal trainers building an online coaching business. If you own a gym or studio, you want a different kind of coach (Two-Brain Business and similar programs are built for gym owners).
How to choose (before you look at anyone)
Four things decide which program fits you. Work these out first and most of the list rules itself out.
- Your stage. Getting your first clients is a different problem from scaling past $10K a month. A program built for one is usually average at the other.
- Course or coaching. Self-paced courses are cheap and you do the work alone. Coaching programs cost more and someone reviews your actual offer, content and sales calls.
- Organic, paid ads, or both. Some programs only teach content and DMs. Others teach Meta ads and funnels. Pick the one that teaches the way you want to get clients.
- Time zone.If the live calls are at 3am for you, you won't go to them.
1. The Blueprint by Zac Perna
Based in: Australia, works with fitness coaches worldwide. Best for: fitness coaches going from zero to their first steady clients, and coaches making $5K+ a month who want to scale.
I started online fitness coaching in 2016 with zero clients and no confidence on camera, and grew my coaching business to a $380K month. I started The Blueprint in 2023 to teach other fitness coaches what actually worked. 500+ coaches have been through it.
It's done-with-you coaching, not a course. Starter covers your offer, content, organic traffic and sales, with weekly group calls, unlimited 1-on-1 support calls, content reviews and access to a sales coach and a content coach. Scaler adds paid ads, funnels, tracking, hiring and systems, with dedicated 1-on-1 support. There are in-person events at least twice a year. Pricing isn't published; it's worked out on a call based on your stage.
Not for you if: you want a cheap self-paced course. Our Academy (courses and community) or a course-based option below will suit you better. See client results.
2. Sukh Sidhu, Online Fitness Business
Based in: UK. Best for: online coaches who want a tiered path, from launching to scaling past £25K a month.
Tiers run from Launch (£0 to £5K a month) to Inner Circle (£5K to £25K) to an invite-only Founders Board. Support includes 1-on-1 coaches, weekly calls and in-person events in London and Dubai. Pricing isn't published. onlinefitnessbusiness.com
3. Jordan Syatt and Mike Vacanti, Online Fitness Business Mentorship
Based in: US. Best for: self-driven trainers who want to learn from two big names at a low ongoing cost.
A group membership with monthly live Q&As, a private forum and a course library. The published price is a US$3,000 sign-up then US$99 a month. It's less hands-on than a coaching program, which suits you if you mostly need direction and will do the work yourself. fitnessbusinessmentorship.com
4. Brian Mark and Cole DaSilva, PT Domination
Based in: Canada. Best for: online coaches who want to grow with organic content and DMs only, no paid ads.
Group coaching with frequent live calls (they advertise 10 a week), a large video curriculum and a mastermind path for higher earners. Pricing isn't published. therealbrianmark.com
5. Jonathan Goodman, Online Trainer Academy
Based in: Canada. Best for: in-person personal trainers taking their first steps online.
Jonathan Goodman (founder of the Personal Trainer Development Center) built Online Trainer Academy, one of the longest-running programs for trainers moving online. It's largely self-paced. He now also runs an application-only Online Trainer Mentorship with 1-on-1 coaches; that price isn't published. onlinetrainermentorship.com
6. Brian Keane
Based in: Ireland. Best for: established coaches who are maxed out on time and want to move 1-on-1 work online.
1-on-1 mentorship over 3, 6 or 12 months (price not published), plus a self-paced course, Move Your Business Online, published at €499 to €999 depending on how many calls you add. briankeane.com
7. Chris Lynton, TribeFit
Based in: Australia. Best for: coaches aiming to build a high-ticket online coaching offer with 1-on-1 coaching.
The other Australian option on this list, so call times work if you're here too. Pricing isn't published. TribeFit reviews on Trustpilot
8. Academy of Superior Online Coaching (ASOC)
Based in: US. Best for: certified trainers who want a credential in online coaching, plus continuing education units.
This one is a certification, not business coaching, but it comes up a lot so it's worth knowing the difference. The self-paced OPTS certification is published at US$997. asoctrainer.com
Questions to ask on any sales call
- Can I speak to two clients who started where I am now?
- Who will actually review my work: the founder, or a coach on the team? How often?
- What happens when I get stuck between calls?
- What are the exact conditions of the guarantee? (Read them. They all have conditions.)
- What does the program not cover?
A good program answers all five without flinching. If someone dodges the second one, that tells you most of what you need to know.
Common questions
Do I need a business coach to grow an online fitness coaching business?
No. Plenty of fitness coaches figure it out alone. A good coach shortens the time it takes, because you stop guessing at what to fix next. If you're getting clients steadily and growing, keep going. If you've been stuck at the same income for six months or more, a coach is usually cheaper than another year of guessing.
How much does a business coach for fitness coaches cost?
Self-paced courses run from a few hundred dollars to around US$1,000. Group programs with live calls usually cost a few thousand dollars. Hands-on programs with 1-on-1 support cost more again. Most programs don't publish prices because the right option depends on your stage, so expect a call first.
What's the difference between a course and a mentorship?
A course gives you information and leaves you to apply it. A mentorship gives you people who review what you're actually doing (your offer, your content, your sales calls) and tell you what to change. Most coaches don't lack information. They lack someone pointing at the thing that's actually holding them back.
Who is the best business coach for online fitness coaches in Australia?
The Blueprint by Zac Perna and TribeFit are both Australian. Most of the well-known alternatives are based in the UK, US, Canada or Ireland, which matters mainly for live call times.
